Strategy Associate
BroadBranch Advisors seeks an outgoing and dynamic individual to join our team of business strategy consultants. We help our clients—many of whom operate in highly technical and innovation-driven markets such as life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing—develop growth strategies through rigorous market analysis and competitive assessment. We do this by characterizing their external environment and delivering nuanced perspectives and actionable recommendations. Our team members gain critical skills and leadership opportunities that will serve them well at BroadBranch and beyond.
BroadBranch operates in a remote-forward hybrid work environment (based in Washington, DC) that offers flexibility and autonomy. We believe our people are our greatest asset, and we value the unique qualities and perspectives each team member brings to our work and our team. Inclusivity and belonging are key priorities for our organization.
Who You Are
You can bridge technical depth and strategy, translating complex and scientific context into business opportunities.
You have 1-5 years of prior work experience in a relevant business context (e.g., consulting, market research, corporate strategy) and/or experience in the sciences or healthcare (e.g., biology, chemistry, biochemistry, engineering).
Unlike many consulting firms, our work does not center around large quantitative data sets. You don’t need proficiency in R, Python, or data visualization software. Rather, our work requires the ability to gather primary qualitative data, triangulate it with secondary sources (qual and quant), and build a narrative out of complex data. You also need advanced skills in translating that narrative into a visually compelling PowerPoint presentation.
You are intellectually curious. You are quick to learn, quick to scale, and quick to make a meaningful impact on client project work that is challenging, complex, and interesting.
You can work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment, owning workstreams and contributing to the overall success of a project.
You have a proactive, anticipatory approach to your work.
You possess excellent written, oral, and PowerPoint communication skills.
What You’ll Do

- Recruiting and interviewing market participants, using proprietary frameworks and techniques;
- Analyzing and synthesizing complex data to surface relevant findings and actionable recommendations;
- Developing a cohesive, comprehensive narrative; and
- Delivering it to the client in a compelling visual presentation (PowerPoint)
You will also have the opportunity to lead and participate in internal initiatives to build skills in areas that interest you and align with your professional development goals.
